Adana is one of the most important cities of Turkey with it's history, economy and traditional cuisine. I sort out some places to visit in Adana as below.

Ulu Cami (Grand Mosque)
It was built 16th century. The original name of the mosque is Ramazanoğulları. It has the characteristics architecture of Ottoman, Seljuks and Mamluks. Ramazanoğulları kulliye(complex) is still open and the largest mosque of Adana. Some of the other important historical mosque in Adana as follows:  Ceyhan-Ulu Mosque, Cuma Fakih Mosque, Mestanzade Camii Mosque, Yeni Mosque, Yeşil Mosque, Kozan Hoşkadem Mosque, Alemdar Mescidi and more.

Merkez Park (Central Park)
It is remaining in the middle of the city and provides clean air.
It was founded on either side of the River Seyhan which goes through the middle of the park. It established a total of 33 hectares area and the Merkez Park is one of the Turkey's largest park.

Büyük Saat (Big Clock)
Construction began on time Ziya Pasha and Abidinpaşa completed Big clock (Büyük Saat) in 1882. The tower is 32 meters high and It was the highest tower at Ottoman.

Ramazanoğlu Konağı (Ramazanoğlu Mansion)
It was built with both brick and stone in 1495 by Halil Bey and it is one of the oldest house example in Turkey.

Çarşı Hamamı (Bath Bazaar)
This bath is the oldest and largest baths and operated currently by the same family for four generations. It was built in 1529 by Ramazanoğulları. It was repaired at various times and it was restored in 1945. Other famous Adana’s baths as follows: Irmak Hamamı(Irmah Bath), Yeni Hamam( New Bath), Mestan Hamamı (Mestan Bath).

Taş Köprü (Stone bridge)
It was the oldest bridge of which still in use in the world. Taş Köprü (Stone bridge) is one of the icons of Adana.

Castles
There are numerous historical castles in Adana and some famous ones as follows: Anavarza Castle, Dumlu Castle, Yılan Castle, Kozan, Toprak Castle.

Tuz Hanı, Havraniye kervansarayı(caravansary),Soluhan kervansarayı(caravansary),  Kurt Kulağı kervansarayı(caravansary).

Adana cuisine
Adana cuisine is very rich and it's one of the most famous food is "Adana kebap". The delicious meat which used in kebab is from special sheeps in the Adana villages. Adana has very hot climate and specialy in the summers a cold dessert called "Bici Bici" is a nice dessert eaten to become cooler. It is prepared with grated ice, strach, rose water, fruit, food colorant and powdered sugar. Some of the other traditional foods are Şalgam suyu, Manfus, Analı kızlı, Aşlama and more.
